In the summer of 2009, we built our campsite near the village of Valmiera, situated north of the capital Riga.
Leadership, was the theme of this year, referring to leading and following.
Let us be led by those behind us,
Let us be followed by those ahead,
Let us be free and let us be true:
Follow me, I’m right behind… you!
According to the dictionary leadership is: ‘the ability to lead’, a leader is: ‘a person who leads’ and ‘to lead’ comes down to: ‘guiding, influencing and inspiring the behavior and opinion of persons or groups of persons, along a way.
Those leaders that have been important in your life, do they still have the ability to guide and influence your way of living? Or have they changed? Or have you changed? Are you a follower? Are you a leader? And if not, can you become one?
