“In-between Roots (and Branches)”

This year our camp will take place in the Spanish region of Catalonia, a part of the country with its own distinctive Roots and Branches. Here we will not only be surrounded by the trees growing on the hillsides, but we will also be immersed in the region’s rich cultural identity and its unique language. We will experience the Catalonian roots and branches, while at our campsite, but also during our hike, which will lead us through the landscape and bring us into contact with the people of Catalonia.

But it will not just be Catalonia that will display its roots and branches; you will also bring your particular Roots: your personalities and your stories, as well as your Branches: your wishes and expectations. You will meet a great number of people with backgrounds, some quite similar, others very dissimilar from yours. You will get to know people with the same views on life, and share your thoughts with those who have different ideas.

All these Roots and Branches will be woven through the camp of 2007. We hope we can share them and grow one tree from these different roots, sprouting unexpected Branches, and perhaps discovering hidden Roots.
