The Art of Connecting people

We all do it, we all need it. In many ways, with different people. We communicate... With our voice, our face, our eyes, our body, our attitude. In the way we say things, the hidden meanings and messages. In this world we have to be able to communicate with different kinds of people, in many ways. Without communication one would be completely isolated. It is not possible not to communicate. At first there was communication, then there was mankind. The first humans communicated much more in a non-verbal way; movements, touch and expression were more important than sounds or words. Then mankind developed the art of vocal expression, supported by the original skills of non-verbal communication. Nowadays we can hardly imagine a communicative world without technical aids like phone, e-mail etc...

What is the Art of Communication?

The IYCamp of 2002 took place in the beautiful area of Emilia Romagna in Italy. The campsite is located at the feet of the Apennines, on the slopes of Monte Belvedere. The field is encircled by forest on a steep hill side. In the morning we see the sun rise over the high mountains and in the evening there is a warm campfire. The hike will go through the Apennines with steep climbs and beautiful views.
