2014 – Poland

This year the IYC celebrated its silver anniversary. The 25th camp took place from the 4th until the 18th of August 2014 in the lovely central European country of Poland.

IYC 2014 was another great camp. Keep an eye on our website and like us on facebook if you want to come next year.

This august we had another splendid IYC in Poland. Two weeks of exciting experiences, new adventures, inspiring talks and a great amount of fun. We were situated near the town Wisła, in the Silesian Beskids, very close to the boarder with Czech Republic and Slovakia. Making use of this unique location, the theme of the camp was “Crossing Borders”. The theme accompanied us during both the hike (in the physical-political sense of the word) and during the rest of the camp, where we explored other sides of the idea of borders, such as cultural and personal borders. After two weeks of enjoying Poland and each other, we departed with pain in our hearts from the field we had come to call home.

We are already looking forward to next year’s camp!
